2004 Jamis Dakar

  1. Im looking at a new left over 2004 Jamis Dakar. It would be my first FS
    bike. From what I have read it sounds like a good bike. He will sell it
    to me for $400 which I think is a good deal. Im looking for some of
    your opinions on it. I think its all stock.
    FORK Manitou Axel Comp, 100mm travel.
    HEADSET Aheadset, STS-2K, 1 1/8".
    DERAILLEURS Shimano Deore rear, Alivio 31.8mm conventional clamp/top
    pull front.
    SHIFTERS Shimano Alivio, Rapidfire SL, 24-speed.
    CRANKSET TruVativ 5D, 42/32/22, 170mm (13-15"😉, 175mm (17-21"😉.
    BOTTOM BRACKET TruVativ sealed cartridge, 68 x 113mm.

  6. Ok oK good news it comes with Breaks too.

    BRAKESET Tektro forged alloy linear pull brakes, front and rear,
    Avid FR-1 alloy levers.

    I bought a leftover 2003 Dakar Sport in 2004 for a deal about like your
    getting. I've been nothing but happy with the bike. Normal maintenance is
    all the bike has needed. Buy the bike and have fun.

    Yep. They'll definitely slow you down.
