2000 model Giant TCR 2 value?

IMHO -

Specs show this runs a 9spd 105 groupset, this will lower the resale a fair amount given how cheap the 10spd Ultegra stuff has become (online this is, not in store!).. Tri bars add no value unless they are good quality/brand. Trip computer adds nothing, again, unless its top of the range/wireless/cadence etc...

"hasnt been used a great deal" is totally subjective, so I'd be looking at kms ridden, chainrings, cogs, chain.. then condition of the STI leavers.. the best indication someone looks after their bike is the how dinged up the STIs are (eg, have they stood the bike on its head on concrete and knocked it around?)..

Are the tyres 25mm or 23mm? Will the buyer need to change these to suit their riding?

Umm... off the top of my head and without seeing the bike.. $500-700 ballpark... might only be 25% of what they paid for it, but a 2000 model bike is 6+ year old equipment now..

Well, it isn't blue so obviously I have no desire to add it to my stable. 😄 It's yellow and black as pictured. It looks fast!

Umm... off the top of my head and without seeing the bike.. $500-700 ballpark... might only be 25% of what they paid for it, but a 2000 model bike is 6+ year old equipment now..

I'd say that was about right maybe a little more say $600-800. I have the 2001 model similar colour, 9pd 105, alloy forks. I bought mine 3 years ago in good nick with mavic open pro rims on 105 hubs, cinelli bars and a pair of shoes for $1100. Not bad bikes, they are very light and fast. I still use mine for training/commuting when I can resist the tempation to take the plastic fantastic next to it 🙂

I dunno. I paid 1700 bucks for my 2000 tcr1 in 2002 Thought it a
bargain. BIkes generally have got cheaper tho
