The names say it: one is a MUni, the other is a trials uni.

A 24" MUni is better for MUni because the larger wheel will roll more
easily over obstacles, and also because you cover more ground per
revolution.

A 20" trials is better for trials, mainly because it is lighter. The
wheel might be somewhat stronger too.

He most likely did it because trials and street are more popular
nowadays... Or he didn't have anywhere to Muni...or he just felt like
it...

Really, it's your personal preference. If your gonna be doing technical
Muni trials, get a Muni. You could learn trials and street if you
really wanted to on a 24" like Justin Khose but that's not recommended.
So just ask yourself, "Do I want to do trials or Muni more?" and your
answer should determine your unicycle preference.🙂

Start with the wheel size for the type of riding you want to do most.
Later on you'll get the other one. It's not that big of a problem. If
you like to get places, get the 24". If you're more interested in
getting over the obstacles, get the Trials.

I switched because:

Yeah I love to muni, but I really am interested in Trials and in my
mind, trials and street looked a lot more fun, so I got my Nimbus. So
far, I like it.

Though I have a question too, I used to, (on my Torker LX 24"😉 be able
to sidehop up 30cm.
But now, on my nimbus I can do it sometimes but not all the time. Is
this normal?

A wider tire with a larger contact patch lets you ride through sand that
would sink a 20.

i fully get the idea of what would make a 20" and a 24" different but
just to throw a spanner in the works? what the difference with a 20"
and 19"?
is it that the 19" is a tad more agile?

19" rims are made specifically for trials and the fat trials tire (even
though they usually say 20"😉. 20" rims wont fit a trials tire and are
generally used for freestyle and other types of uni.

I used to ride with my friend on weekends - me on my 24" "ebay" uni and
him on his "cycle design" trials 20"
Obviously I could go faster and at the end of the day he was always
really tired
Today I got my Qu-ax 20" trials/Muni and went for a ride with him
I found it heaps fun, being able to go for new things.
Overall I like my 20" heaps more

But its not up to me, all these guys are right- you choose the one that
you think you'll get the most use out of

When I was messing with fish tanks, they multiplied and before you know
it there were 4-5 in the house. When it was antique clocks they too
multplied.
With unicycles 'started with old model Schwinn 24, along came Torker
24, then a 36, recently a 24 DX.
You can always think of some reason why another unicycle would be
good.
The bottom line is that whichever you buy now; sooner or later you will
get the other, as was stated above.
