I am now embarking on a 18 day training plan, to get me in some quick shape for my first race, a 14.5km TT on a flat to rolling course.
Due to work and an injury I have had very little basetraining this year. Some running but that is about it.
I am planning on updating nightly on my days training, and finally leading up to my results at the TT.
Keep in note that this is my first year of competitive cycling, but I am going to update this thread all season long, so feel free to leave any commnets, suggestions, and/or storys of your own.
Does anyone else have any preseason tips to help get that extra boost for your first B priority race of the year.
My season will consist of a race every Thursday night from the 19th of April to the end of September. With it being my first year of cycling competitively I am looking to only Peak one time around June for the 2-3 different club championship races.
Starting Today, which is the 1st I am going to go on a 1 hour indoor Long Steady Pace ride just to get the legs moving.
On Monday 4/2 I will have a 1.5 hour outdoor (or indoor if bad weather) ride with some intervals just to get the legs pumpin.
4/3-45 min Indoor 10 min warmup, 2x10min steady-state interval, 5min rest inbetween, 10min cooldown,
sound good? any advice. What do your sun-wed workouts look like for this week.
