great work dude.... especially on the weight... unless of course you weighed 40 kgs when you started then you are in big trouble 🙂

Wasn't it OzCableGuy who had a case of broken spokeitis a little while ago?

Congratulations take right hand and pat yourself on the back.
Having also done both of the last 2 also, but with a 15 year gap, I share the suffering that you have been through.
Still dont know which was worse, giving up the cigs (100 a day ) or loosing the weight. Think it was the gigs. That was all bad but loosing weight meant that I discovered cycling and have met a heap of new people and have a new interest.
Cheers
Hugh

Actually, they seemed to go bang when I was accelerating hard rather than
when hitting bumps, but I put a stop to it by tightening the spokes right up
under advice from here. It worked well and I've only broken one in about 6
months now. For a while there I was doing nearly one per week.

How many kms? 8 spokes seems a little high, even though I remember
you were on the heavier side.
Might want to get the wheel build looked into at some point in time.

One hopes it's a nicotine addiction that was lost, rather than gained.
Similarly 25kgs 🙂

100 gigs a day would tire even the most hard of rockers 🙂
