I am getting back into road cycling again, and of course, I have been searching for the ideal bike for me. In years past, I have always been loyal to Kestrel. Now, seven or so years later, and since my last purchase, I am amazed at how advanced bicycle design and manufacturing has progressed.
The last time that I was in the market for a bicycle, I did not hold in such high regard the brand of bike that I am currently considering to purchase - Giant. Ten years ago, for whatever reason, Giant to me was not a bike that I would have even remotely considered investing in. Now for 2008, it is my first choice! The Giant TCR-C1 to be more specific.
My search has narrowed, and the focus has included the 08' Trek Madone 5.2, the 07' Felt F2 and/or the Z25, the 07' Specialized Tarmac, and then last but not least, the 07'/08' Giant TCR-C1.
I can truly appreciate all of the bikes that I have mentioned, yet the Giant TCR-C1, to me, is "One Sweet Ride", especially now that it comes equipped with the new Shimano Ultegra SL group.
To those individuals reading this thread that might also be in the market to purchase a new road bike, I must say - you certainly owe it to yourself to go check out Giant's line of TCR Carbon and OCR Carbon road bikes. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at what you discover.
My purchase is going to take place this Saturday. I can't wait!
