  1. Hello,

I have a mountain bike that I'm not able to ride on the road. I need to get exercise using my bicycle though and heard about "training stands" that you mount the bicycle to by the rear wheel so you can "ride" the bike indoors.

Can you point me to some websites that carry this type of product or let me know what to search for and I'll do it myself?

    Thanks for your help!

I'm looking at the various choices for trainers and rollers and I don't know what criteria to consider to fit my needs and budget. Are there any resources you know about that would help me make an informed decision?

For example, I seem to remember reading a while back that most trainers were for racer-sized tires, and I have a mountain bike. I heard some trainers are noiser than others, and then there's the perennial question: how much do you have to pay for decent quality.

    Thanks again for your input!
