Datatag - worth it?

I don't know but I bought a cheap "Stop Theft"* tagging kit (via eBay) in
the hope the warning sticker will deter some theives -- perhaps the ones
ignorant of the system who might think it's more powerful/sophisticated
than it is.

I understood that most stolen bikes *were* eventually recovered, but
that the police usually didn't have sufficient information to reunite
them with their owners. ICBW.
