  1. Hi,
I'm new. I'm 14. I have always had a bike and always biked. I got a bike when i was like 4 or 5 and learned to ride it in a day or two.
Well I have a mountain bike and I want to start training. Well till the beginning of september I can't do anything because of the little surgery i had done on my foot.. Is there any good excersises to do? I would like to goto competitions after a while..

Can someone please give me some excersises to do? I need to lose oh about 10-20 lbs. I would like to be able to excersise to goto biking events and like tournaments.

Can someone tell me the difference between road/mountain/[insert last type of cycling]

    Thanks!

  2. Ahoy! Welcome aboard. You're just like me. I just started cycling in the past month, and I want to compete once I get good. Mountain biking, road biking and.... bmx? Mountain biking is well, obviously on the mountains, on dirt trails usually.. Road biking is, well, on the road. Did you watch the tour de france? That's all road biking. BMX is matt hoffman, ramps and such.

I really couldn't tell you what excersises to do, but I'm sure some of the other people here can. There is a plethera of information around. Also might want to check out the training forum. I would suggest the mirror over the scale... unless you need to be in a certain weight group for a certain reason.

    Welcome
