You guys will be fine. Remember that this is going to be a *team* effort. Act and think as a unit and it will be far easier and more enjoyable for everyone. There will be repairs along the way, to all the bikes. Use that to your advantage, upgrade when you have to/can. Carry a spoke wrench and learn how to true wheels while they are still mounted on the bike. A little daily maintence goes a long way. Also know that people have crossed this country on bikes alot less nice that hers. Maybe a trailer wouldnt be a bad idea, if theyre having space concerns.
