This has got me stumped! About 3 months ago my rear caliper started moving causing the pads to rub the wheel. Sometimes the right side would rub sometimes the left. Needless to say it's not much fun to ride 20 or 30 miles with the brakes on! I thought this would be a good time to upgrade from 105's to ultegra calipers so I got a set thinking this would fix the problem. Next time I rode the same thing happened. So I'm figuring it's the cable. I'm going all out here because I'm getting tired of this so I get a set of Nokon brake cables. The next time I ride no problems everything is fine! I think I have finally got it, wrong! Rode today and the brakes are rubbing again. Has anyone got any ideas about what is causing this and how to fix it?

You are really wasting alot of money, and attacking the problem from the wrong end.There are several possibilities, but if the binder bolt is not tight enough then the centering adjustment will never hold. Another possibility is a too short casing.
