You can watch the whole thing on BBC digital.
Just go to the menu and choose cycling.

On BBC2 as well. There was rowdy shouting of 'Voekler! Voekler!' at
lunch time. Now I'm officially back to plastering the kitchen ceiling,
which explains how I come to be posting to Usenet instead.

Oh - there's an excellent one-man breakaway, and another two man group
moving up to join it. I won't say who (and sadly it isn't Thomas).

Or better still go out cycling while its nice weather

  5. That was a good finish, I won't spoil it for those of you who weren't
watching, but there was a Brit in the top 10.

I think it deserves a 'Woohoo!'

Watched it on digi box from about 11.30 -- looked pretty tough in that
weather. I lived in Athens for a while so it was great to see some of my old
haunts again. I lived on Likavitos -- not the really posh bit, though --
    it's a pretty steep hill.

    Err why?
I was out early this morning, I can go out tommorrow, or next week, or
    tonight.......
I can't watch the mens road race live next week.
    ;-)

must be just me that prefers to be cycling rather than watching TV :-)

Funny afternoon. I was plastering the kitchen ceiling, nipping through
to the sitting room whenever the commentary sounded excited, and
nipping through to the lab every little while to check on a particular
frame on eBay (which I won... details later, maybe). So I got to see
most of the important moves of the race. I was sorry Big Magnus got
reeled back in the end - I thought he put on a terrific performance
with his early lone break. Good race - and I understood it much better
    having watched the TdF.

Then I got my road bike out in the cool of the evening and did a circuit
with a good bit of climb in it, and I'd hardly got in from that before
the mountain bike lads were chapping at the door for me to do an
emergency repair on a disk brake.
