Sunday we went for a midday ride. At first I balked at the idea, owing
to a killer headache. It felt like my brain was gonna be pushed outta my
right eye socket. Linda pointed out that I wouldn't feel any worse on a
bike, and it would be a distraction. Off we went...
Well, within the first five kilometers the fresh air, cool breeze and
pedalling had worked the headache mostly outta me. A short time later I
started seeing double, which makes steering interesting, but that went a
way after a short while (I gotta talk to the Doc about it though).
Double vision is damned unnerving...
On the last leg home we got drenched by rain. The warm drops of sweat
trickled off my brow and nose while the cool drops of rain fell
everywhere else. It was refreshing.
I was really tired and cold when I got home, but I felt ten times better
than when I left. All it took was a little bit of therapy time on the
old steed!
