I've got a 2 year old Kona Pahoehoe - nice bike - which I think is an Easton Ultralite frame. The cable routing for mechs and rear brakes is along the top tube, and where the cables have slapped against the frame, there are small rough patches in the paintwork. If it was a steel frame I'd say it could be rust - it's that kind of rough patch. But since it's not - Easton Ultralite=aluminium, right? - I dunno what the hell it is.
Any suggestions of what I should do with it? If it was a beat up old car I'd sand it down and put primer on it. But as it's not, I'm not sure what to do. If I wanted to get it up to saleable condition (for example) what should I do with it?
