  1. Anybody know who sells headtube barrel adjuster? I've got a lugged steel road frame with bosses on the lower headtube lug.The only ones I can find online are the Shimano indexed kind.

  2. https://secure3.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp?CS=icycles&BusType=BtoC&Count1=23937404&Count2=941077828&Target=products%2Easp&CategoryID=13
under Shimano Head Tube Cable Stops

if that doesn't work, go to http://www.icyclesusa.com and look under "Small Parts"

i used these to replace the hard to grip ones that came with my bike.

I bought a set for ten bucks on ebay, there were bunches available. I had a very bad experience with icycles, so I wouldn't recommend them. Another option is pop into any old LBS, they probably have a bunch.

Endope, why can't you use the Shimano index shifting ones? I don't see what the problem would be.

i assumed that he meant the downtube mounted adjusters which don't work w/ the headtube cable stops.

    could be wrong though.
