When will RBR be back?

I watched with one eye as I was preparing the evening meal.
The large group didnt form at once.
After the climb first a group with about 10 riders formed (with Ullrich, Merckx,
Gilbert, Bossoni and some others) joining the 3.
Gilbert and Bossoni were away for a while. In that phase Ullrich did some strong
pulls chasing.
Then Merckx went off for some kms but never got more than 80 meters while
everyone behind was just looking at each other, just Bossoni doing some pulls
for Astarloa. When they caught Merckx there still wasn't much going on and then
all of a sudden with a few kms to go a flock with O'Grady joined. The television
coverage had been clumsy, there was never information whether a group was coming
or who had worked there or whatever.

The camera work was terrible but part of that, I think, was that the roads
were narrow so the motocams couldn't go back and forth, and the trees kept
the helicopter from giving overview shots of what was happening behind the
lead group.

Typically of the ten World Cup races, HEW gets the smallest and fewest
mentions in RBR. Check it out.

San Sebastien will get triple the RBR press than HEW garnered.

I recently saw a short feature (on BBC World I think) on an Italian Woman
Volleyball player - definitely decidedly hot, I wonder if I could persuade
her to shave my legs as well.

I think the real factor for what happened were Ullrich and Gontchar.
After the last time on the Waseberg, the leading trio
(Bettini/Astarloa/Rebellin) had only a few seconds lead on other 7 riders,
including the two above. Even working on perfect harmony, the leaders
couldn't have kept off Ullrich and Gontchar pulling like they were
possessed.
Once the group of ten was formed, obviously too many had no interest in
working. Ullrich, Gontchar, Merckx, they all knew that taking the 3 early
leaders and Freire (who was in the group of 10 too) to the finish line,
they would have had no chances even of a podium spot.
So der Jan basically sat drafting and looking often behind for Zabel, who
he obviously knew was not far back. Gontchar and Merckx started to look
more for alone breakaways (which both tried too early). Until the other 15
got back in with about 4 to go there was noone really working.
With the way the group of 10 was composed they were doomed to get caught by
the O'Grady group.
I think the real mistake made by Gerolsteiner, Lampre and Quickstep was
that people like Paolini, Hondo, Barbero worked too much before the last
Waseberg climb. IMHO they should have tried to stay with their captains on
the top of the last climb in order to work harder thereafter and keep the
leading group off the reach of the pure sprinters.

Bartoli withdrew because he's off shape.
So the present line-up is Bettini, Moreni, Nardello, Paolini, Pozzato.
There's still a lot of mistery about the real reasons for Rebellin not
being named.
