  1. Anybody have real-world experience, and can shed a light (bad pun) on
    this question? Will an incandescant Xenon bulb really last 10,000
    hours in bike headlights?

    I doubt you'll ever find anyone with 10,000 hours on the same bulb; not
    many people have amassed that many lifetime hours on a bike.

    If used in a stationary applicaion with a controlled temperature and a
    continuous feed of the correct voltage, quite possibly. In the real
    world, with shaocks, vibration, and variable temp, probably not.

    Mine have outlasted many sets of batteries, so I can't gripe about
    their durability, but I will never use them enough to put 10K hours of
    field use on them.
