  1. I purchased a pair of road shoes at eBay without knowing much about pedal
    system.
It is Adidas Time Frosco. Which pedal can I use ? Are there
compatibilty guide available somewhere on net ?

4 holes on the bottom of the shoe is for Time pedals.
3 holes is for Look pedals.
2 slots is for Shimano pedals (and clones).

According to Nashbar, which carries them, they're LOOK, SPD, SPD-R,
    Time-Impact, Speedplay compatible.

I have these exact shoes, and can confirm this is indeed correct. They are
great shoes, BTW. Extremely comfortable, I think more so than my Sidi's.
If you are considering which pedals to buy, personally I recommend Look
    pedals.

FWIW, Jan Ullrich himself used to wear this model of shoe.

    Regards,
    H.

Hhm. My shoes look identical except for holes. There are four holes. on
    the bottom.

Dont get confused. I think these are the shoes or the soles are
similar(attachment is a small pic of shoes). If so they take Look, Spd-r
and the NEW time-impact pedals. The older time pedals are NOT
compatible. Spd have been mainly replaced on the road by the sl pedals.
Time impact are nice but I would probably go with Look as they are
widely available and not expensive. HTH

Yours are Time Frosco, the shoes on Nashbar are just plain Frosco. So it
could be Adidas made a model specifically for the Time pedal system.

Sounds like it. Moreover, the current series of Time pedals (Impact)
uses the LOOK three-hole pattern. The four-hole Time pattern is now
obsolete. I don't believe Impact pedals will work with the "classic"
    Time cleat.

You might hunt up a pair of the previous series of Time pedals
(Criterium/Equipe). My Equipe Mags show every day of their twelve years
but still function well, minus a plastic spring cover or two. QBP still
    lists the cleats.
