  1. Hello,

    I'm looking for a little device that fits onto a rear dropout that holds my chain tight when my back wheel is off for cleaning etc. It has a little wheel on it that allows me to turn the cranks while I'm scrubbing the chain and chainwheels.

    I saw something that looked just the job at:

    called a VAR chain holder, but I can't seem to find anything similar anywhere.
    I might just make my own.

    Can anyone help?

  2. You should be able to pick one up at any decent LBS, I would think... or do what people do at races, use a piece of wire hanger... 😉

    I use Pedro's Chain Keeper and it works great. A couple of LBSs carry them here in Dallas. A close-up pic is available here:
