  1. In many pictures I've noticed Lance with an ear bud in his right ear, even
during stages. I'm wondering what he's listening to -- does he have an MP3
player, or is he getting info from the team car? You figure Sheryl Crow?
    Motivational tapes(!)?

Team radio. Most pros use them these days. I think they are made by
    Motorolla.

Pretty sure it's just the team car during regular stages; MAYBE .mp3s as
    well during ITTs.

Sheryl might get his blood pumping, but her music won't. For that,
he'd have to go for another great Texan--Stevie Ray Vaughn.

His "Live at Montreaux" double album makes for great listening on the
trainer in the wintertime. "Scuttlebuttin" is a hell of an interval.
And "Texas Flood" is good for recovery.

He is usually listening to a recording of Dale Carnegie's book, "How to
Win Friends and Influence People." So far, he's figured out the second
    part...

Favorite motivational tape: his old cycling team getting rid of him when he
    started his comeback after cancer.

  7. Live at Montreaux?

Gotta be Les McCann and Eddie Harris: "Compared to What"!
