TdF coverage

I cant believe that after 3 weeks of fantastic TdF coverage on Eurosport
they have only scheduled 35mins of highlights after the motoGP - and
only 1h 40m on ITV2..

Pretty disappointing 🙁

They're all taking pictures of each other and drinking champagne! Not
much racing going on (apart from Armstrong's friend Simeoni).

Bizarre really.

I'm watching it now via the 19.2 E Astra sat on the German Das Erste
channel. It's not very exciting, Simeoni made a break but then came back.
Other than that it's like one big end of term party.

Which was live of course....ITV2.

Personally, for me the coverage on ITV2 has been superb. Very
informative for the uninformed [like me]. Enjoyed it a lot.

My ARD satellite channel is not available for some reason.

Excellent coverage by ITV2 - they really have the best in Phil Liggett and
Paul Sherwin, their knowledge of cycling is fantastic and they explain
things very well both to knowledgeable riders/enthusiasts and to the not so
well informed.
Thanks ITV - without you covering it I would have missed it all.
I thought it was exciting the whole way through and regardless of the
criticism of LA and the Americans in general, he and his team still have to
go out and ride the win. "Pas de Cadeaux" as they say.
Noticed also today that the other sporting perfectionist, Michael Schumacher
won again. There is only one way to win any top sport these days and it is
to give 100 per cent throughout the year and to have a strategy to cover any
eventuality.
Great tour, wonderful scenery and fantastic organisation by the TDF
organisers and police. Thanks in particular to the skill (and bravery) of
the cameramen and the bikers carrying them, plus the gutsy performance of
Thomas Voeckler throughout.

I'm worn out now after 3 weeks intensive sitting in front of the TV watching
and video-recording and watching it again,
What an achievement by Lance and the US Postal team, let us just
congratulate them - secret or no secret!

I watched on RAITre and thought the break with Bettini, Merckx, and Voeckler
was pretty exciting..
Also very interesting to hear Bulbarelli and Cassone saying what they
thought of the Postini and LA after Simeoni' second and third attacks of the
day. He did himself more favours that the postmen..

et al looked very strong.

So did I. I was on the edge of my seat urging them on. Shame they got
caught. I would have loved either Voeckler or Merckx to get the stage

ITV2 is wonderful, so much better than duffelcoat with his asides and
anecdotes. I don't think they realise what they could do with it yet, since
it doesn't involve soap or bloopers. It is of course, reality, but they
wouldn't know that if they bought it!
