Well, it was at least certainly odd. Although perhaps not surprising,
Armstrong seems to be a man governed by his emotions to a great
extent- especially anger.

He tried to give it to Floyd, but since Floyd wasn't going to make it, he
grabbed it.

Wrong stage but it does illustrate Lance's character. If he was so bad he would
not have let anyone else try to take a stage in the mountains. After Lance did
win that stage his team mate appologised because he had kept the pace so hard
that he had lost steam in the end and could not finish first. Lance is winning
his sixth Tour because he is the best trained, the best equipped, the most
dedicated and has a very good team as well as one of the best support groups in
the US and Europe. Critics take pleasure in pointing out how Lance does not
participate in many races before the Tour, they are already wringing their
hands and moaning because there are stories going around how he may not be back
for the 2005 Tour but do the classics instead.

Why, because Simeoni goes around bad mouthing Lance to the press, to the media,
or about how Lance is ignoring him just because he slandered Lance's friend and
sued him when Lance called Simeoni a liar? Look how the other rider's react to
Lance when he came back into the pack after thwarting Simeioni's 18th stage
try.
Ask Basso if he is such a bad guy. Ask the Postal present and past riders how
terrible Lance is compared to other leaders in the sport that they have known.

I hope he wins some classics, rides the tour for another year or three,
and finishes 3rd to Basso and Ullrich if he does ride the Tour. I'd
rather see that than no classics and a 7th, 8th, 9th Tour victory.

It was a class act.

Instead of court, where both of them have to hire surrogates, he took him on on
the road where both of them have expertise. Don't forget, Simeoni is an
accomplished cyclist, he is actually finishing a Tour du France, and maybe even
without performance enhancing medications.
