Man I took a fall off of a ladder and into a swamp that was about 5' deep today! My head almost went under and my bullit was totally submerged. Luckily for only second because I immediately stood up and held the bike over my head.
After I got out I kept riding the loop.. went through that section 4 times today with no other problems. It is a really tight switchback with a hollowed out canoe like log over the 5' deep swamp. You have to ratchet over the log bridge then drop down about 1' and ride a suspension tree bridge that sages about 6" into the swamp. Been riding there for almost 5 years an today was the only day I ever cleared that section (went back through with no fear because I was already soaked). Funny thing is I have never cleared everything there before except today but of course I did fall into to swamp goo.
I was covered with green algae goo, even up my neck. My friends laughed and called me swamp thing ;-)
But hey the mosquitoes did leave me alone after the fall ;-)

Hehehe...speakin' of Swamp Things, you may want to pick up of pair of Maxxis Swamp Thing tyres before you go to Snowshoe. It's been very wet there this season and they are the tyre to have.

Definitely NOT the Kujo's!! They turn into slicks in the mud. The Mobsters should be fine. They still pack up but at least have some side edge to hold a turn. I'm hoping there's a drying trend coming up sometime soon.
