Yes, but Ullrich has been on vacation in the TdF until now. He should be
beginning to feel pretty good.

The point is what? Ullrich benefits more on climbs from being fresh. That is
normal for power climbers like Ullrich. (Power climber is one that
accelerates through difficult sections at times as opposed to setting a
smooth pace that can be sustained throughout the climb).
