I went out for a 16 mile ride today, and i used my biking shorts for the first time. They make a huge difference in comfort, I didnt really start to feel much saddle soreness until 10 miles of riding, and even then it wasnt much. I highly recommend buying a pair of shorts if you hate saddle soreness. I am sure that the air seat/biking shorts combo is the best, but as of now I can deal with the kris holm/biking shorts combo, someday I will buy a nice air seat though.
