Not sure if you're serious, but yes, OLN is devoting the entire month of
    July to the TDF.

  5. Has anyone else noticed the sound level is very low on OLN...or is it just
my cable operator? All the other channels are fine, but with OLN I have to
really crank the volume to hear it...then when I forget and switch to
another channel the volume is booming. Just wondering if it's a global
thing or just my cable system...if it's just mine, I'll have to call them on
Tuesday to try to get them to fix it.

Yep, it's the Lance network until the end of the tour. I'm sensing burnout
on the way...how many times can I hear that masculine voice utter "IT'S
    THE CYCLISM!!!!" LOL

The coverage is solid though. I get it with basic cable.

boy, i wish i could. cable where i'm at doesn't have OLN, tho a few people
have Dish. one of them is a coworker, a former racer whose wife & kids
just left for vacation to the east coast for july. he doesn't know it yet
but i'm moving in for the duration.

Haven't noticed it (just watched today's Prologue replay -- without knowing
results! -- if any indication of things to come, this thing could be REALLY
exciting). Is OLN *always* low on volume for you?

I notice that TNT is loud for some reason; always have to turn others up
    after. (Go figure 🙂 )

Volume seems normal, comcast digital cable

  10. Several channels on DirecTV have their volume quite a bit lower than
others. And of course the advertisements are usually kept at the peak
volume that a show would only use for explosions or gunshots. Been my
    dad's complaint for several years.

It is a little overdone this time around, isn't it. I think cyclism is an
unfortunate naming for the tour. A) because the tour doesn't need an
annual nickname. B) because even though I know they were melding cataclysm
with cycling or something like that it just sounds dumb.

Agreed...and even though I like Lance and hope he gets number 6, I'm getting
real sick of seeing him in EVERY commercial OLN airs.

  13. Does anybody know if CBS is doing the one hour summaries of the past
week every Saturday (in the US)? I know they did it the past two years,
but, after looking in the TV Guide, I couldn't find it. I think it was
called "Wide World of Sports (featuring TdF)." Instead, the schedule had
a movie or PGA Golf, neither of which I care much about.

    --

  14. Correction: It might be ABC. But the question remains, does anybody happen to know if either are doing a weekly summary, or is just OLN (which I don't have the luxury of having)?
