You don't state what your budget is but Bilenky makes some excellent
bikes and have most of their models available in "travel" packages which
use S&S couplers and even include the case.

as someone who owns an S&S coupled bike keep in mind that even if you get
good at it breaking down and putting together an S&S bike is not something
you want to do all that frequently. if you plan on doing it as part of your
commute for instance or even weekly get a proper folding bike.

Was that you, a slim guy in a silver aero pot on a BikeFriday towing a
trailer, in the NYC BikeTV segment on the New York folders ride?

We had a bike film night and there were some clips from the 2003 ride.
