  3. He apparently doesn't like it when people put their responses at the
    top of a message, as I am doing here, rather than at the bottom, the
    answer in front of the question.

    Personally, I think it makes a lot more sense to do it this way. If
    someone has been following the thread, he will know what has gone
    before, and can scroll down to refresh his memory if necessary.
