Why Fdjeux.com ?

Such short memory: Last years Prologue winner (Bradley McGee) and Green
jersey (Baden Cooke). And team leader Bradley McGee in the Tour of
Romandie, where he won the prologue and finised 9th gc. and was second in
the time trial behind Tyler Hamilton.

Who really got screwed? The Navigators would blow
these guys away.

I mean even the "RAGT Whatever" team beat Fdjeux.com by 2 minutes even!

CSC got schooled. By four teams. That was not expected.

exactly... beyond what the media may have you think, some teams are there
for goals other than Yellow. They are defending the Green jersey. TTT
doesn't factor into that. Look who they have, obviously they built their
team around the Green. And with the lousy weather today they cleared the
course and cut their losses.... their time is the next few days and in
Champs finish.

Yeah right they should go full blast and drop the suffering McGee from the
start.
Finishing 4.30 minutes faster would really have been helpful of course. Duh.

I don't have a huge problem with these new TTT rules, really. I would
modify them to give dropped team riders their team's time plus the
amount of time between them.

But, if they're gonna implement screwy rules, why not give a little
stick to go with the carrot, keep everyone moving along. For example:

For the last place team in the TTT, for all team riders--

Should that last-placed TTT team have a subsequent victory ride in the
Tour, the winning rider will be relegated one placing and given same
time as the 2nd place rider. You can bet that Baden Cooke would have
been kicking some asses through the rain to make sure he wouldn't
possibly have a sprint win negated.

Is this fair? Strictly, no. But is it fair to give a team that
finished a minute and 10 seconds down only a 30 second loss?

Also, let McGee and Cooke rest up. That's what all the chatter was
about, how this scheme doesn't punish a lazy team. Ride the pace McGee
can do comfortably and see if he gets better. He's had a back problem
since before the tour. Something about planting olive trees.

Recent results for fdjeux.com: Overall victory in Route du Sud to Brad
McGee Stage 3 in RdS to Brad McGee Stage 2 in RdS to Francis Mourey 8th
overall in Giro to Brad McGee McGee also won the prologue and got three
2nd places in the Giro Baden Cooke won the Jayco Bay Series (a stage &
overall) Cooke won final stage Tour Down Under, 3rd overall Cooke won 2
stages of the Tour Med, the Grand Prix La Marseillaise and a stage in 3
days of De Panne Thomas Lövkvist won the overall and a stage in Circut
de la Sarthe Oh and there is also the Green Jersey overall, the prologue
and Stage 2 of last year's tour.

Now, how about those Navigators?

Casar made all of that time back in the long "suicide" break today, and he now
has a huge defensive buffer. If his team hadn't lost 3 minutes yesterday, he
wouldn't be 5 1/2 minutes ahead now...
