  1. I have a 1/2 restored Raleigh steel frame road bike. Recently bought some
    nice new Rigida wheels but they will only take a 7 cog cassette whereas the
    previous was 5/6. Problem is the Huret derailleur does not have the travel
    to cover all 7 cogs. Modern derailleurs seem to have a different fitting, is
    there anything available that will fit ?

    There are adapters that allow a modern derailleur to fit a rear dropout
    that doesn't have a built-in derailleur mount. St John Street Cycles sell
    them if your local bike shop doesn't.
