The simple wall mount systems (CTC do one, Wiggle, etc.) hold one wheel
while the other rests against the wall, ie it doesn't swing loose.

There are other options. Tusk do some mounts that let you stor the bike
horizontally. Even cheaper a couple of larger plastic coated hooks from a
DIY shed could also make a horizontal mount---just place them so the top
tube (maybe the Trek 7100fx doesn't have one?) rests at each end. A third
option would be a hoisted ceiling mount, I've seen a couple of these about
and if you have high celings they could be an option.

I use 2 Buy & Queue "wrought iron" (bent steel bar) to hang the top tube of
my road bike on in the garage.
They are screwed to the wall upside down (Oddly enough as shown)so that the
tube rests between the two curly-wurley bits. Cheap and not too unsightly.
