around, and noticed your Fizik Arione. Are you happy with it? I've been
thinking about getting one for my new roadie but haven't found
any opinions on it.

:P The stickers are for my track bike, it's a bit boring in all-white. I
have already added some class to it with some "Cooper's" (beer) stickers
near the botom bracket, appropriate really since that's what it runs on!!!!
(Carbo loading, haha)
The saddle wasn't for me - I bought it for my 'ugly half' after his saddle
started to fall apart. He seems quite happy with it, it looks good too.
Nothing revolutionary though - when I got my fizik vitesse it made a world
of difference to how long I could ride for.
In width the arione is about the same as a flite. One benefit already
obvious is that it lacks those kevlar corners and raised stitching that seem
prevelant on lots of saddles these days, which tend to make knicks have a
limited life because they wear though. It's got very very long rails as
well, so if you're on the limit of your seatpost's adjustability that also
might be handy. Can't offer any personal insights as to its comfort, I sat
on it once and got off real quick, way too narrow for me. If you want me to
measure it up exactly so you can compare to your existing one send us an

DOn't worry about measuring it Gemma.

I just read a review and thought the design was interesting but haven't
heard anything about how it works in practice (ie. the way the slots are
supposed to deform and fit the rider).

I'm trying to figure out what saddle to put on my new forthcoming roadie
but saddle's are one of those things that you never know until you try
it. All I know is that the one I've got now is not really good for me.

I've only got it because I paid $6 for it in the Great Myer Melbourne
Selloff of 2000 where they managed to mark a whole lot of stuff down
because they didn't know what it was - it's a Selle San Marco Squadra
which really should've cost ~$130 🙂

Yep, I got the wheel raiser and safe-t-net included with my mag trainer
for cheaper than the other brands. Very handy and does the job.
