If it did come down to a new hub (I feel confident enough to re-build a wheel if it comes down to it) any ideas how much one will cost in the UK and where would be a good place to get one from?
If the repair option works next thing is this lose break lever (on the hub, not the handlebar). Can anyone recommend a site with instructions on servicing hub brakes?
You can have a machinist cut the outer flange off the hub on a lathe and then drill the holes verticly though the hubs center part like the new GS and Trice hubs. This allos use of strait pull spokes. You can also switch over to low cost mechanical disk brakes at this point with readily available 20mm axle hubs. I have heard the outer flanges are weak on these hubs elsewhere but have no experience with them. Tadpole trikes put a lot of side load on there front wheels.
