  1. About 5 - 6 months ago I had a bike accident where I landed on my right side
rib cage. After that it hurt in the area when I sneezed or pressed on it but
I didn't think much of it. About a month later it stopped hurting but a
couple months ago I noticed uneveness on the right side as if it was pushed
in, but I hadn't noticed it before. So I assume it was a rib fracture of 1
or 2 of the middle ribs. Does anyone know if there can be anything done
about this to fix it back to its normal shape? Thanks

Not generally, you could re-break it and reset it in shape for the bones to
fuse together again, Good luck in being able to hold them in place though.

While this is somewhat bike related, I would think that this question would
best be posed to a medical professional. I'm sure MV will appreciate the
valuable data point, and guys like Bill Sorni will have some worthwhile
words but ultimately you'll not be any better off as a result.

Me?!? Well, my only comment is that I suffered a similar injury -- falling
right on the end of my handlebar and nearly impaling myself -- and my right
ribcage hurt for well over a year. (Sneezing was absolutely excruciating
for maybe 12-14 weeks; then it was just pressing/laying on the ribs that
    hurt.)

Come to think of it, I haven't been the same since.

PS: You can call me Bill, or you can call me Sorni; but ya doesn't hafta
call me Bill Sorni (since Sorni is just a nn)...

    Bill, Sorni, et. al.,

I was counting on you to provide some pithy advice along the lines of your
    bifocal advice in r.b.m.

    Oh.

OP: It hurts when I press on it.

    Me: Don't press on it.

    Bill "better?" S.

    Or this...

OP: I think I broke 'em in the wreck 5-6 months ago, now I'm seeking advice

Me: Good thing it wasn't a skull fracture! Wear a helmet, kids!

    How's that?

Preferably about 4 hours after eating a lot of undercooked liver.
