  1. I was watching a show on OLN about kayaking, of all things, and they did a
feature about a guy who makes helmet video cams. One of the videos they
showed had the camera mounted under the seat of a MTB, looking backwards
over the rear wheel. The guy was riding on a twisty single track, with
another rider right behind him. Seeing the spinning rear wheel and the
other rider carving through the turns just behind him was very cool.

Does anyone know of an example of this type of video on the internet?
I have a friend who has done a fair bit of straight-forward helmet cam
stuff but he sorta burned out on it. I want to show him an example of
how this stuff looks to remotivate him.

Yeah was looking on Pete's site, but he's got a ridiculous (in a good way)
amount of video there, and it wasn't obvious from the previews that he had
what I was looking for. Got a specific one in mind?

I know he's got an example of this type of camera mount on his
    site....Pete?

Cool, thanks. From the above search, here's the best example of what I was
looking for, if anyone is interested...

I'd still like to fine one where the camera is mounted to the bike, rather
then the rider's helmet. Obviously it's much easier to just flip around
    the helmet cam mount, though.

I actually found a couple videos on Google looking for "mountain bike video
rear-facing." They were the same ones I found from the other poster's list
of video sites, though. A lot of videos don't have text descriptions,
though, just prevew pics. Kinda makes the Google search useless.

Well, you type in "rear-facing mountain-bike videos"....
    Then you hit "Google Search"
And the first three results are:-

    http://www.mtbbritain.co.uk/videos.html
    http://shop.mtb-wales.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=39
    http://www.bikemagic.com/news/article.asp?UAN=3640&v=1

Ain't life grand? 'S'OK, bomba, you'll get the hang of this Internet stuff
    real quick... ;-P

Searching this newsgroup and/or using different terminologies should
garner more but then again, Google is pretty difficult to figure out
    for some.
