Also cures cancer, doesn't leave the seat up and comes in an array of
    charming colours.

And your mum will love it.

    Andy Chequer, why so long....

Also cures erectile dysfunction, *but* erections lasting longer than 4
hours will require immediate medical attention!

I'm perfectly happy with my LX conventional swing one (works a damned site
better than the 'newer' style ones).

    Why!?!?!?

I'm sure my wife would be pretty [censored] with me if I kept needing to pay
a visit to the ER half way through sex

  5. I've seen a spy photo. The clamp is metal. I love the
plastic clamps on Neos,5.0, 7.0,& 9.0 it dosn't mess with the
finish on the seat tube. The new derailleur is part of the X Geneation
like the X.9 which I have 2 rear derailleurs and love their looks and
workings. Sram out nunbers Shimano on my bikes. Two rear and one
front ,Alivio,STX,and XT and when their gone it Sram all the way Sir.

Word. Hard to beat in functionality per beer token. Worth seeking out over
    that silly topswing rubbish.

Several painful months with a weight tied to the end of it.

I think that will be the adjustable clamp at work there.

I didn't even know the things still existed until comparatively recently,
having not seen one on a 'new' bike in years - was surprised how damned easy
it was to get one too - tell LBS get me LX conventional swing f/mech, go in
week later, give money get mech - no more front mech woes!

The other's were, as I'd complained here several times, wearing out in ~6
    freaking months!

That's right - once a year, for the entire duration - we just don't ever
