    Found this ad on bicyclingaustralia's website.......unfortunately it is too
    small for me though (damn it).

    KHS Team st - single speed

    This bike is well specked and is in great condition. Has been used for city
    communting only...genuine reason for selling. Friends pay me out far to much
    for not using it the way it was intended.

    I built this up from scratch so has all the goodie bits...as below

    Frame:KHS Team ST (19"😉cro-mo
    trutemper XO tubeset
    Fork:Rock Shox SID - Hydrair XC
    Wheels😄MR 1X1 single speed specific hubset - Mavic 519 rims - Handbuilt
    wheels + 2 sets tyres (slicks and xc racing (new))
    Brakes:Avid SD5 levers
    Avid Digit 3 v-brake calipers
    XTR cable kit
    H/set:FSA orbit - cartridge bearing
    Bar&Stem:Specialized - wide boy - uncut (bar)/ specialised mtb-stem (funky
    blue)
    Cranks:Specialized Strongarm II - 175mm - with spot bash gaurd
    Pedals:Kona platform + Time Atac
    Post:Alloy + carbon post - woodman
    Saddle:Choice
    Running gear:16 tooth freewheel X 2, surly singelator, connex chain.

    This bike follows a gold and black theme and looks hot. Gets many comments.
    Never crashed...well cared for looks the bomb and would make a great fun xc
    race bike or commuter or muck around bike.

    Will include a pair of specialised comp mtb shoes size 46-carbon straps.

    need to sell quick---make an offer if interested

    It's been in the list for a month or so now and has lost $250 so far.
    I'd really like to upgrade the GT (which will hopefully become redundant
    as commuter when the street fix is done) so something like this would be
    nice. It's not the first KHS SS I've enquired about though..

    I still want a cheap-ish xc-duallie/trail bike...

    I've actually seen the bike a couple of times while riding around chapel
    st last year. Looks good ... and I did get the impression that the bike
    had never seen a trail before at the time.

    The only thing I was disappointed with was that the bike used a surly
    tensioner ... other then that, seems like a good bike for a great price.

    I've got large photos of it now if anyone is interested?

    I didn't realise at the time but it is a softtail KHS, with the small
    shock built in to the the seatstays. Probably great for my back but I am
    wary of them. Not my favourite thing, lets say..

    I've got large photos of it now if anyone is interested?

    That's what the "ST" behind the model name stands for (softtail).

    What's wrong with softtails? I think they do a good job filling the gap
    between a hardtail and a full sus.

    Susp. forks are pretty well sorted but I'm not sure about these little
    jiggers on the rear of the KHS. It's probably an uninformed reaction but
    I just figure on buying a rigid, a HT or a FS.. not something in
    between. I'd really like a 'proper' FS for my next off-road vehicle..

    Man, I crash quite enough just riding a rigid SS, or a HT for
    that matter!

    Off-road fixie is somewhere I'm never going to go - I'm just not good
    enough to need that extra challenge. The SS isn't any more challenging
    to ride other than physical effort. An off-road fixie though is more
    'technically' challenging.. too much for me
