Armstrong Good Enough ??

I agree--and did not Ullrich acknowledge Lance's, as Ullrich
put it, "Superiority." I am not saying Lance is a saint--he
seems like he'd be a pain in the ass to live with. But the
the bitterness with which he is attacked here is silly. If
he wins 6, then we'll see all the reasons why it was not
really an accomplishment. << I have to laugh about all those
who wonder whether LA will do it again this year.
Admittedly, it looked like he had a tough time last year.
But he did
it. I only watch bike racing once a year so I'm not an
expert. But I have to laugh about all those discussions
that he can't do it. I also admit it's too early to
proclaim that LA will win his 6th.

But he's proven to me today that there's no one capable of
beating him unless he falls or gets sick, etc.

Yes, people bash Lance. But if you look at most of the
comments, they relate to the amount of press he gets, and
the general overexposure of his life. I used to be a Lance
supporter, and some small part of me wants him to win his
sixth. And that part will be a little sad if he does win six
and I didn't appreciate it more. His surviving cancer and
subsequent Tour victories are inspiring beyond words, but
they have been drowned by an avalanche of blind, moronic
American publicity with ESPN leading the pack.

I am as big an Armstrong fan as anyone, but still the
mountains loom and let's see who has the best form after
Stage 10 next Wednesday when the mountains hit big time.

I personally do not see anyone beating Lance based on form,
knowledge, desire, conditioning, team, experience, maturity,
or road skills.
