Its been a while since I was in Kirk Yetholm but I seem to
recall you are going to really struggle on a Sunday. Your
    nearest rail link is Berwick-upon-Tweed

    Taxi firms 0800 387367 01573 226826

    Bus times 01835 862253

As an afterthought, have you considered hiring a small coach
and driver for the day? It may well prove cheaper and less
hassle all round than fighting with bus/taxi/train on a
Sunday. (Especially if you've just walked the 25+ miles from
    Byrness.......)

    cheers, simon

    You're in luck - by a spooky coincidence there's a long
distance path that goes from Kirk Yetholm to within a few
miles of Oldham, passing the odd hill along the way. Much
better than sitting on a boring buss or train <:-\

  5. Nice answer...Just the one I would have replied with.
I got hold of the brother-In-Law who got a 12 seater for £150. and will pick
us up after brekky. and drop each off at their house, good eh! £ 30 each
    (petrol as well)
    Thanks to everyone.
By the way there are 3 seats spare if anyone is finishing the PW on Sat.2nd
Oct. That will bring price down further.
