Have any of you ladies tried Curves Gym? It is a gym for
women only and they have a 30 minute workout. I have not
visited yet. Thought I would ask you first. Doc told me to
get into a good exercise program. Maybe something structured
is what I need. <VBG> Betty,.

Ask for a free trial, maybe even a week's worth for 3
visits. I've seen such offers for local branches. And be
sure that any you consider joining has operating hours that
suit you -- and do your trial-visiting then, too. Best
wishes. bj"BMoss69893" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:20040627131407.11491.00000440@mb-

My patients love Curves. They are able to exercise in a
comfortable atmosphere. Combined with a diet, we are seeing
some real weight loss.I haven't been in one either. They won't let me in..... 😉

Without knowing if it matters to you, and without knowing if
this would be a plus or minus for you, the founder/owner of
Curves is a strong and active anti-abortion rights activist
and he openly uses the profits he makes from his women only
gym to further his cause. I'm not suggesting that this is
good or bad, only that I think it's ironic. Do with this
information what you will."BMoss69893" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:20040627131407.11491.00000440@mb-

a bad experience with it. So I do my exercise at home. I
have read reviews of this gym though and it isn't very
challenging. Might be okay for a beginning exerciser, but
you'll soon need something more challenging.--

I am a curves member! I lost a lot of weight, inches while
going. Unfortunately, my si joint is inflamed and keeping me
from the exercise.. All the machines are pre set up for you
and they work to target areas all over your body. I met the
nicest people there and to me that made the 30-40 minutes,
depending on how much you talk fly by!Patricia "BMoss69893" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

My wife has a membership there and really loves it. It gives you a
full workout with minimum impact and low stress! 🙂On 27 Jun 2004 17:14:07 GMT, [email hidden]

months and then got bored and fell off in attendance. I like
circuit weights and belonged to Bally's for years until I
moved. I really enjoyed it, since it had a lot of women-only
activities and variety. My husband bought a Total Gym 1700
on sale, which I've been using for a while, and I like to
watch the news while I exercise. It also allows one to do
the equivalent of circuit weights and we got it on sale and
it was pretty inexpensive.
