Likely your server doesn't carry that group, Margaret.
Google doesn't archive it either. Email me (take the "un-"
out of my address), and I'll send you a picture.

OBFood: I'm going to pull the meat off the rib ends -- those
chunks of gristle you get in a pack of ribs, what are they
called? -- and stuff it in some chicken breasts for
tonight's dinner. Details will follow if it works.

I had error messages that boiled down to "file not found".
When I reread it carefully, it said that the necessary temp
file/folder was missing... so I created a temp folder
within FA and voila. PICTURES appeared! It was an amazingly
simple solution - after I managed to wrap my brain around
the problem.

I like alt.binaries.food! Now, I need to figure out how to
post binaries. LOL!

PS: Love your table, Michael! What woods are used in
it? Can you post a better picture of it? I'd like
to see more.

Newsguy should certainly carry alt.binaries.food. There
shouldn't be any username/password anymore than there is for
rec.food.cooking, once your newsreader is set up properly
(if you can get rec.food.cooking, you should be able to get
alt.binaries.food - unless newsguy has some sort of parental
controls).

I'm using Agent and all I had to do was subscribe to the
newsgroup.

I don't remember what FA's posting screen looks like, but in
Agent there's a prominent button up near the subject line
that reads "attachments..." Punch that and select a jpeg or
whatever you want to attach. It should work.

Thanks. I have one wider shot that I didn't post last night.
I'll put it up presently. The wood is old pine, what's
called souther yellow pine down here. It appears to be
homemade by some journeyman craftsman.

D and I got the table in an antique shop in Paris. Texas.

When I subscribed, I could read text... but couldn't open
pictures until I manually expanded my tree to include a temp
file. Don't know why, but it was a simple enough fix.

It's exactly like full Agent, but some of the features are
grayed out, because I haven't paid for the full version. Not
a big problem because I wouldn't use those features anyway.

that was pine, inside and out - - ALL walls, ceiling, floor,
pine siding)... do you know what the darker accent wood is?

That should be southern yellow pine above.

Maybe you're looking at the little gaps between the boards
in the table top? I believe it's all the same wood. Some of
the color change in the photo is due to lighting, some due
to what I'll call patina. Yeah, patina, that's what it is.

No, I was looking at the darker wood on the sides, fine
grained and no knots. Take a look at the picture after-
q.jpg. The wood looks like accent pieces and frankly, it
looks great!
