I have heard several times on TV that cinnamon helps control
boood sugar. 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon is supposed to help. Have
you heard this? Anyone tried it? Did it work? Thanx. Betty.

Thanx. Betty.Yes, that's what some recent studies tell us. Some
of us have tried it and there have been mixed
results. No harm in trying, though. Go for it!E

Thanx. Betty.Hi Betty
If you do a groups search with google you'll find this comes
up for regular discussion. In my own case I infuse cinnamon quills in my morning
coffee. I haven't noticed a direct effect on BGs; but there
has been an indirect effect as I don't need milk now. It
tastes good, doesn't hurt, so I'll keep using
it.Cheers, Alan, T2 d&e, Australia. Remove weight and

Heard it. Tried it. Raised my BG about 30 points. Endo. told
me to stop taking it. BG plummeted and had a hypo. Didn't
work for me!--

I read this also. To place it on your oatmeal, in your
coffee and cook with
it. It is beneficial.Patricia "BMoss69893" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

For what it's worth, the studies say that
the 1/3rd teaspoon gives full benefit.
Consuming more is tasty, of course, but it
doesn't confer additional diabetic benefit.E

Please watch your bg carefully. Julie B posted that cinnamon
didn't work for her--it didn't work for me. As a matter of
fact, quite the opposite, it raised our bg.We both have fibromyalgia as you do. I think it didn't work
for Evelyn either, another fibromite.hmmm.... Wonder if there is a pattern here.
Did anyone else with Fibromyalgia try cinnamon and what were
your results?Nancy pre-diabetic (2/2004) starting to get some control

Will do. It was up this morning, but it does that. Runs
anywhere fasting from 116 to 143. It was 133 this morning.
Will check before lunch. Usually runs in low 100s down to
87. A1C in January was 5.68. I pretty well watch what I
eat, exercise as fibro will allow, and take 1 Glugophage XR
(generic) at night. Betty.I'm rooting for you Betty! Come back and tell us how it
goes. Just another curious mind here. 😉Nancy pre-diabetic (2/2004) starting to get some control
