  1. No profession on earth is as subtly corrupt as that of the
medical syndicate.( possibly politics). The physicians and
the balance of their fellowship have become the economic
leeches of the human communty. They have lost all respect
among the working public who have come to fear them and
their tactics of medical untruths and financial greed. A
patient can no longer be sure of the truth about his or her
late illness. Doctors no longer feel that the patient
should take up his or her time trying to understand why
getting sick is more expensive than it was not so long ago.
Since the introduction of Medicare/Medicade and the demise
of the old-time family doctor, the new medics have become
accountants first and doctors later, and they have mastered
the methods and tricks of double billing the poorly
    governed system.

Granted, to become a doctor requires ambition, effort,
patience, perseverance, and often politics. As a result,
these people should be well compensatred and appreciated
for their effort, but there must be a limit to their
whining that they will not see a profit from their
investment for many years unless they charge what they
refer to as "reasonable" fees. In truth, most doctors
recover their investment within several years of
interning. And most doctors did not invest their own
money to begin with. They attended medical school on
taxpayer's money through loans that they complain about
when it comes time to pay back. And few pay back these
loans when due, if at all, and most are settled at
    reduced rates of liability.

Unfortunately, the American doctor has replaced God in
the average household. Today, a fairly serious illness
can wipe out a person's lifetime of effort to save for
late life and peace of mind. They know and fear that the
medical people are all dishonest. They know that the
charges to Medicare are unreasonable and more often
fraudulent, but they are in terror to think that they can
blow the whistle on the one person who could take revenge
on them in their most unprotected hour of need. They are
even reluctant to discuss their fears with friends for
fear that the word would leak to their physician.

Today, most doctors are not only cheating everyone in sight-
they are also sucking up to the CEO and the board of
directors of the local COMMUNITY(?) hospital. They too
are frightened that revenge can come to them if they
aren't willing to "cook" the patient's medical records
for the hospital's benefit. "Medicare pays more if the
patient has pneumonia instead of bronchitis." The CEO is
the doctor's boss. He is generally not a doctor-knows
nothing about medicine- and is hated by most of the
    hospital staff.

The people who know the truth about this corrupt
operation are the nurses who are encouraged to look the
other way,"or else." Second: Any employee in an IRS
office knows that the MD's are greater cheaters than
dope dealers when it comes to paying taxes. They joke
about some of the deductions claimed by doctors. Third:
Stock brokers know that many hospitals make millions of
dollars annually despite their claims of losses
resulting from caring for "freeloading welfare
citizens." They don't report that some of these same
hospitals lose millions of dollars while making poor
    investments gambling in the market.

How can a hospital lose money when a patient is charged
$39.50 for a pill that is inventoried into the hospital
pharmacy at a cost of eight cents? How can a doctor
justify a four minute Emergency Room examination of a
patient (99285) and have the nerve to ask Medicare to
pay $265.00 for the hasty diagnosis? Even Medicare knows
that such a charge is outrageous and only pays the
provider a more reasonable amount of $123.30, which is
    still too much.

Many of us can remember when the medical fraterniy
rallied to defeat the federal Medicare proposal. Little
did we know that the program would rapidly become a means
to an unlimited financial bonanza for the converted
    medicine men and women.

Something will have to be done to correct this injustice
perpetrated against a defenseless public before it
becomes any worse than it already is.

    Sixty-Minutes, "Help."

And, God, "Help" us to stay well until America joins the
rest of the modern world and nationalizes medicine.

That's not true -- but the nitwits who write screeds like
this are openly corrupt, not to mention stupid. Is that an
    improvement?

Oh, and I'm not a physician. But you *are* an idiot.

a few years, a profit to pay off what can be hundreds of
thousands of dollars of loan debt.

You are getting the picture, but it may not be all the doc's

The true cause can be found in the Bible. "Whole nations

Oh come on!!! What can be worse than a homeopathic "doctor"

    Would that be:

the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy

Which is the only verse in the entire King James Bible which
contains both of the words "nations" and "deceived".

You have been told this before, Chuck. Why do you keep
lying? Isn't it time to tell us again about Pasteur's death

The word 'sorcery' (Strongs # 5331) in this passage is the
Greek word 'pharmakeia' (far-mak-i'-ah). It is defined in
Strong's Greek Dictionary of the New Testament as follows:

    medication ("pharmacy"😉

Is Jan Drew acknowledging that she was deceived into taking

A fact that is always overlooked by idiots like you is that
"American medicine" (which, I presume, means "evidence based
medicine"😉 is frequently used to successfully treat
otherwise fatal illnesses. The risk of error is very high.
And, as treatments become available for more and more now
fatal diseases, we'll see things you've never heard of move
up the list of common killers. And, along with them,
iatrogenic disease. In a perfect world, medical care could
cure anything. So the *only* cause of death would be some
    sort of accident or mistake.

  11. What does this mean:

"A report by the General Accounting Office in the United
States revealed that 51.5% of all drugs introduced between
1976 and 1985 had to be relabelled because of serious
adverse reactions found after the marketing of these drugs".

My understanding is that the FDA always looks for ANY
adverse reaction, minor or more serious, that may occur with
even one person after a pharmaceutical drug is approved for
use that didn't occur in the original trial participants, &
that would be the reason for the relabelling. Sounds like
    common sense to me.

But I would like to read that report myself to see if the
loaded word "serious" is mentioned in it & exactly how the
report reads. So perhaps our original poster who offered up
the above quote can cite the date & number of that report?
