Why do you need the ECC BB?

Yes. Read above. Use tensioners on the drop outs, you will
have no problem.

Depends on the disc tabs. If they are slotted, yes.

Phil Wood hubs, or Chris King.

Kona has a cool sliding dropout. I haven't taken a good look
at the Bianchi drops

I'm pretty sure there's a disc version of the Rohloff - it's
pricey and heavy, though

Have fun with it. About two months ago I took delivery of an
Ionic JR with EBB, discs front and rear, rigid fork, blah
blah blah and have been having a ball. I even raced it two
weeks ago (hell, somebody has to be DFL).

White Industries makes an eccentric hub, but I don't think
there is a disc version yet.

Forgive me for delving into nomenclature... but the term
"Singlespeed" implies the purpose of the bike is to have
just one speed. If you go with a geared hub, the best you
could do is call it a "Derailerless" lol.

I've got the White hub. It's ok, but if I had know about
rennendesigngroup.comrollen info.htmlOpen ↗, I would
have gone that route.

*If* that route works... then I would opine that the White
hub is overengineered for the task.... also, besides being
decidedly pricy, it requires two separate tools to put the
wheel back in, tighten the axle, and tension the chain - as
opposed to zero tools and just a skewer.

The crucial thing is whether or not "Rollen" actually
works...

I can assure you that they do, I have one on my bike right
now, and its great. The only drawback is that it is a bit
more trouble to remove the rear wheel, and if you have
chainrings that are not true, you can end up with a
tight/loose spot since there is no "spring" action.
