  1. You know, I actually originally thought that Mike Vandeman
was trying to change our minds about mountain biking. I just
caught on that he is just trying to make people mad. I don't
think I would try to convince someone of something by acting
    the way he does.

Many years ago I used to argue with him on rbor, he
hasn't changed a bit. Nowadays I just killfile these
    kinds of nimrods.

The key thing is that he in no way represents any
environmental movement, interest or sentiment. He only
    represents himself.

MTBing does no significant harm to the environment, in fact
it benefits the environment and all who participate in it.
Do we need to be sensitive about trail usage and good
environmental stewardship? Yes. Do we need to be neurotic
    about it? No.

You forgot that mountain bikers don't listen to anyone
    criticising mountain biking. DUH!

I am working on creating wildlife habitat that is off-limits
to humans ("pure habitat"😉. Want to help? (I spent the
previous 8 years fighting auto dependence and road
    construction.)

harming any kind of wildlife. You are slipping a little

See what I mean? All I have to do is open my mouth, and you
guys show your true colors, inducing normal humans to retch.

Notice he didn't deny the Mrs. was easy. She had to have

The very fact that he assumes that *anyone* on usenet can be
described as 'normal' proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that
he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. A tool yes, but not
    the sharpest one.
