Carnedd Llewelyn

No. There is a small rock step just above the Bwlch on the
way up to Llewelyn but it is not at all hard.

A quarter of a mile along the A5 you can park at a farm
for a pound.

Instead of turning round when you get to Carnedd Llewelyn,
why not continue over Carnedd Dafydd, Pen-yr-Ole Wen, then
along the east ridge to the A5, cross over and take the old
track back to the start. Or for a longer walk start with Pen-yr-
Ole Wen, then you can continue over Pen yr Helgi Du and Pen
Llithrig yr Wrach.

This is a much better route, more exciting but not the
least scary!

You do have to be careful on Llewelyn in misty
conditions not so much because it is dangerous but
because you can end up wandering around for ages.
Obviously a GPS would help here but, in normal
conditions, the route finding is obvious.

This is one of THE great ridge walks!

extended version of the walk suggested and head for the farm
to park the car.

So long as you are reasonably early you should be able to
park on the main A5 somwehere between the two camp sites.
