Quoted message said:I'll admit I'm biased here, as I'm a coach, but I've
picked up, or know other coaches who have picked up
clients directly from CTS. $30/month sounds great but it
undercuts the pricing of good coaches who try to make a
decent wage. Me personally, I charge more and give more
(time) and get to know each client well
My coach, Tim Roach, always said, "you get what you pay
for", in essence that is very true. The poster said he paid
$30.00 a month and improved from what it looked like to me
about $30.00 a month worth and oh got to talk to someone for
30 minutes a month. There are times that I talk with my
coach 30 minutes a DAY when training. Most of probably know
this already, but I will reiterate it anyway. If you have
never been formally coached and you are a relatively new or
inexpereinced rider, ANY amount of structured training will
garner you what seems to be an enormus amount of benefit.
OTOH if you are an expereinced rider and HAVE been formally
coached for many years, it isn't always easy to see the
improvements made. Inaother words, the better, stronger and
faster you get, the harder it is to get MORE better,
stronger and faster. For me personally, I want my coach
RIGHT THERE when I am training, watching me, my pedal
stroke, my body language, my effort, if he can't see that
stuff (online coaching) you can never reach your full
potential.
