  1. We need some post to balance the over enthusiasm advocating
    some things.

For many they may be proper but I can not verify that .In
ten years we may know the answer. I had a "book" in 1976
said insulin caused all of the complications. When I found
out I had diabetes, I pulled 12 books from the Wright State
Medical library. There were a lot of opinions about
diabetes. Many were proven wrong with time. That is why I go
slow. Some need to shut up and learn before touting
anything. It is peoples health and lives we are dealing
with; We need coverage on every aspect of diabetes but we
    need keep things in perspective.

Those looking for entertainment should go to the [censored] sites.
Too late for me. The enemy here is the disease, those trying
to exploit it, and misinformation. Another is trolls that
does not have diabetes misrepresenting that fact and
    creating disruptions here..

Before insulin T!'s had a limited life. The treatment was
starvation. PBS and a number of books described the course
    of diabetes then.

When I see lo carb, I think of this. I know this will
    insult someone.

No one knows the proper diet. We are deluded in thinking we
    know so much.

We do know restricted eating is a plus for diabetics, An
expert with about 50 years of experience told me, "There is
a lot we know but more we do not know".

Not much "that we know" is fixed in stone. Only creative
writing and thinking can provide the out of this world
firm thinking. On TV I have visited the whole universe. By
experience, I learned an open mind is better. I do not
have an open mind on some posters. We would do better
    without them. Guy

    Guy...

You know I respect you a great deal.

But I think you need to read more about low carb plans. They
can be many many things. Some people do OD on bacon and
    cream... other's don't. I'm not saying they're for everyone,
    but they sure ain't starvation.

Let me tell you my food choices today:

Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled with green peppers,
mushrooms, and 1 oz cheese 1 slice LC bread (Oroweat 5.5g
    a slice) Coffee

Lunch: Cup of Gazpacho with avocado Grilled salmon salad (I
ate out at a restaurant) it had... greens, asparagus, jicama
    and a balsamic dressing

Dinner: My local supermarket had lobster for 6.99 a pound! I
had a 1.5 pound lobster steamed Cauliflower salad with ranch
    dressing Strawberries for dessert

Snax: I had some almonds (about 2 oz) I plan on having some
    LC ice cream before bed

    Starvation!?

    I think not.

    Jennifer
