I notice the jews constantly pushing Statins. In fact they
have horrific side effects and they destroy livers. As more
pharma companies and their jewish henchmen can taste the
anticipated BILLIONS, we must avoid Statins at all costs, in
order to preserve our lives and our vital organs integrity.

March 2002Summary Bayer AG is a massive German based chemicals and
pharmaceuticals manufacturer. It has operations in most
countries worldwide and had global sales for 2000 of nearly
$30 billion.[1] Its operations are divided into four
sectors: Health, Agriculture, Polymers (plastics, synthetic
rubber) and Chemicals. It has recently acquired Aventis'
controversial cropscience business, making it a key player
in the development, commercialisation and sale of GM crops.
As a major player in 4 controversial sectors for over 125
years Bayer has a distinguished history of corporate crimes
ranging from the manufacture and sale of controversial drugs
(Heroin, Ciproxin and Baycol), the development of chemical
warfare agents and poisons (Chlorine Gas, Zyklon B and VX),
the use of forced labour during WW2, and numerous cases of
poisoning, side-effects and environmental pollution
connected to its chemical and pharmaceutical products. In
December 2001, Multinational Monitor rated Bayer AG as one
of their Top Ten Worst Companies of the year.[2]1. The Company

maintain substantial holdings in all of these 4 areas. Up
until the late 90s competitors, such as Monsanto, Astra-
Zeneca, Novartis, Aventis, Du-Pont, Dow and BASF,
accumulated holdings in the same areas in an attempt to
exploit the life-sciences concept, the idea being that
through using bio-technology, profitable synergies were
possible between these different sectors. The life-science
bubble has all but burst. In the last two years all of
Bayer's major competitors have shed their holdings in one or
more of these sectors in order to focus on a more defined
set of interests. Bayer looks set to maintain its
quadripedal structure, having recently announced its
intention to transfer its 4 business divisions into
independent corporate units owned by Bayer AG as an ultimate
holding company.1.3. History [6] For over 125 years Bayer has been a major
player in 4 of the most controversial business areas
that capitalism has so far produced. They have a long
and particularly nasty history of corporate crime (see
also Corporate Crime section below internal link). The first incarnation of what is currently Bayer AG was born
out of the rush by European industrialists to develop and
manufacture synthetic dyes in the second half of the 19th
century. Friedrich Bayer and Johann Friedrich Weskott opened
a dye factory in 1863 in Wuppertal, Germany. The company
Farbenfabriken vorm. Friedr. Bayer &
Co. was launched in 1883. Bayer quickly diversified their
activities into other areas of chemical manufacture,
including photography and pharmaceuticals. Bayer also
established operations throughout Europe and the US.
Early Bayer discoveries included Antinonin (synthetic
pesticide, 1892), Aspirin (1897), Heroin (1898) and Buna
(synthetic rubber 1915). During WWI Bayer, along with
other chemical manufacturers (both Allied and German),
turned their attention to the manufacture of chemical
weapons [7] including chlorine gas used to horrendous
effect in the trenches. During WWI Bayer had formed a
close association with other German chemical companies
including BASF and Hoechst. This relationship was
formalised in 1925 with merger of these companies as
well as AGFA, and others, to form the IG Farben
Trust.[8] IG Farben continued to grow during the inter-
war period as one of the most powerful chemical and
pharmaceutical companies in the world. Products included
polyurethanes and the first 'sulpha' drugs. It is during
Nazi-era Germany and WW2 that IG Farben (Bayer) entered
its most sinister phase. IG Farben as the leading
chemical company in Nazi Germany took over chemical
plants across Nazi occupied Europe, used slave-labour in
their factories (including operating their own
concentration camp), conducted medical experiments on
those held in the concentration camps and manufactured
the poison gas used to kill thousands. At the end of the
war the 1945 Potsdam Agreement called for the break up
of IG Farben into its constituent companies. Twelve IG
Farben employees and directors were jailed for war
crimes at the Nuremburg Trials. Bayer was re-established
as Farbenfabriken Bayer AG in 1951, changing its name to
the current Bayer AG in 1972. Although the post-WW2
Bayer is a different legal entity to the Bayer that pre-
existed IG Farben, and that which formed part of IG
Farben, a direct line of continuity can be traced
between the personnel, infrastructure and technology of
these 3 incarnations. Bayer has a very murky past that
should be remembered. For Bayer's rose-tinted, and very selective, version of its
own history have a look at their Bayer Tapestry

Do statins damage and kill our livers?
They can be hepatotoxic (though see the abstract below).
Probably because they wipe out levels of coenzyme Q10. They
may also cause rhabdomyolysis so check your creatine kinase
level. See abstracts below. Be cautious, however, when they
talk about relative risk improvements versus absolute risk.
While it may look impressive, the overall effect may not be
all that dramatic over time.Statins have a value but long-term continuous use is
probably a bad idea. Who knows? The latter abstract is not
convincing as most studies only go out for 6-12 months. And
as is noted, not all statins are alike. Some are less toxic
or less likely to cause drug interactions than others. What populations most benefit is also COMPLETELY unclear.
The industry would like anyone with any evidence of LDL to
be on drug for the rest of their lives. Others take a more
conservative approach, treating those with serious
disease. Statins are HUGE money makers, so we must be
extremely cautious in interpreting data that are largely
derived from an industry intent on selling, selling,
selling, science be damned. There are probably better ways to manage hypercholesteremia
and/or hypertriglyceridemia including:
1) dietary changes and exercise;
2) niacin (though this can be liver toxic);
3) carnitine (esp. for TGs);
4) policosanols;
5) garlic.Combination therapy of the above might prove to be a
healthier approach. And probably much less costly.Care MUST be taken with statins, potent inhibitors or
inducers of cytochrome p450 enzymes, when using any other
medications.George M. Carter

hepatotoxicity from statins in hyperlipidemic subjects with
elevated baseline serum transaminases are lacking. We
conducted a study to test the hypothesis that patients with
elevated baseline liver enzymes have higher risk of statin
hepatotoxicity. METHODS: Our study consisted of the
following 3 cohorts of patients seen between January 1, 1998
and June 31, 2002: Cohort 1: 342 hyperlipidemic patients
with elevated baseline enzymes (AST >40 IU/L or ALT >35
IU/L) who were prescribed a statin; cohort 2: 1437
hyperlipidemic patients with normal transaminases who were
prescribed a statin; and cohort 3: 2245 patients with
elevated liver enzymes but who were not prescribed a statin.
The effect of statins on liver biochemistries was assessed
over a 6-month period after statins were prescribed.
Elevations in liver biochemistries during follow-up were
categorized into mild-moderate or severe based on predefined
criteria. RESULTS: The incidence of mild-moderate elevations
and severe elevations in liver biochemistries in cohort 1
were 4.7% and .6%, respectively. Compared with cohort 1,
individuals in cohort 2 had lower incidence of mild-moderate
elevations (1.9%, P = 0.002) but not severe elevations
(0.2%, P = 0.2). However, between cohorts 1 and 3, there
were no differences in the incidence of mild-moderate
elevations (4.7% vs. 6.4%, respectively, P = 0.2) or severe
elevations (.6% vs. 0.4%, respectively, P = 0.6). Statin
discontinuation during the follow-up was similar between
cohorts 1 and 2 (11.1% vs. 10.7%, respectively, P = 0.8).
CONCLUSIONS: These data suggest that individuals with
elevated baseline liver enzymes do not have higher risk for
hepatotoxicity from statins.** Clin Cardiol. 2003 Apr;26(4 Suppl 3):III3-12. Related

[email hidden]The 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA)
reductase inhibitors, or statins, are a well-tolerated,
effective class of medications for the reduction of low-
density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and total
cholesterol levels. Extensive data from clinical trials
demonstrate that these agents reduce fatal and nonfatal
cardiovascular risk in primary and secondary prevention
patients, including women and the elderly. A threshold
value for LDL-C reduction below which there is no further
clinical benefit has not yet been identified. In the
Heart Protection Study (HPS), significant relative risk
reduction occurred even among patients with LDL-C levels
< 2.6 mmol/l (100 mg/dl). Statin therapy also produced
reductions in cardiovascular disease in a wide range of
high-risk patients regardless of baseline cholesterol
levels. Rhabdomyolysis, typically defined as muscle pain
or weakness associated with creatine kinase levels higher
than 10 times the upper limit of normal and the presence
of myoglobulinuria, is a rare but potentially serious
complication of statins. Although dose-dependent
transaminase elevations occur in 0.5 to 2% of cases, it
has not been determined whether these elevations qualify
as true drug-related hepatotoxicity. Management of
myopathy and elevated transaminases is addressed in a
joint publication from the American College of Cardiology
(ACC), the American Heart Association (AHA), and the
National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
Because statins have significant potential benefits and a
low risk for serious adverse effects, aggressive therapy
should be considered in patients at high risk for
coronary heart disease.***

reductase inhibitors or statins offer important benefits for
the large populations of individuals at high risk for
coronary heart disease. These drugs have a good safety
profile. Nevertheless, differences in physicochemical and
pharmacokinetic properties between statins may translate
into significant differences in long-term safety. This
review focuses on long-term adverse effects related to
statin use, namely hepatotoxicity and myopathy. Moreover,
the most common drugs used in combination with statins in
long-term therapies are analyzed in terms of possible
drug/drug interactions affecting the safety of statins.
RECENT FINDINGS: The withdrawal of cerivastatin from the
global market in 2001, because of severe cases of
rhabdomyolysis, highlighted concerns regarding the safety of
the entire class. Afterwards, the role of statins and their
interactions with other drugs in precipitating this
condition have been carefully reviewed. In approximately 60%
of the total number of cases, statin-related rhabdomyolysis
was found to be related to drug/drug interactions. Recently,
all cases of fatal rhabdomyolysis associated with statin use
have been reported to the US Food and Drug Administration.
This has shown that fatal rhabdomyolysis among statin users
is a rare event, the reporting rates being much less than
one death per million prescriptions in the case of all
statins except cerivastatin. SUMMARY: The safety and
tolerability of the available statins support their use as
the first-line treatment of patients at high risk for
coronary heart disease, since the clinical benefits greatly
outweigh the small risk of myopathy. Nevertheless,
clinicians should be aware of the adverse effects possibly
related to statin therapy, particularly in patients at high
risk for coronary heart disease and requiring long-term multiple-
drug therapies. Copyright 2002 Lippincott Williams & Wilkins -

Do statins damage and kill our livers?
This is cerivastatin which was withdrawn for causing
liver damage. Not all statins are alike though and others
do not appear to cause such severe damage (and may not
cause any at all).Don't get me wrong. As I say, I think there may be safer,
certainly cheaper and probably as effective methods for
managing blood fats than statin drugs. One must also be
careful with drug interactions with statins. One should
probably take CoQ10 (if it really is bioavailable?) to
offset the loss induced by statins. Etc., etc.Liver toxicity is not the only issue when it comes to these
drugs. But like all drugs, people often have no side effects
whatsoever. For some, it is a viable option. However, the
outrageous descent of medical care into Madison Avenue
selling frenzy has rendered such decisions and choices far
more problematic, rife with the lies and deceptions now
prevalent in the pharmaceutical industry that is utterly out
of control. (Among other things, we need PRICE CONTROLS in
the United States to start to rein this insanity in a bit.)George M. Carter
