...and finally, No.1 son went down to the police station to
retrieve his stolen bike, as reported about a month
ago.....the bike was stolen 2 years ago, remember??...
The police finally decided they weren't going to progress
with the scutter in possession of it when recovered (he
wasn't the guy who stole it anyway)...the insurance company
are quite happy for him to have it back, so all's well that
ends well.
As he was about to sell his Specialized Big Hit Down Hill,
for far less than he paid for it, he's stripping it of all
it's costly components and putting 'em on the recovered
Planet X Jack Flash frame and selling just the frame of the
Specialized. The scutters had asset stripped it and replaced
with [censored]. As he's now got into BMX'ing instead of
downhilling, all he wants is something of a playbike rather
than dedicated downhiller, so this is a more cost effective
way of bringing it back up to spec.
